With the victory over Belgium in the match played on June 6th, Finland got their UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying bid back on track and which ended Belgium's slim hopes of reaching the finals from Group A. Finland, after their home defeat by Serbia , bounced back with the victory over Belgium (2-0). Jonatan Johansson and Alexei Eremenko Jr made the winning goals for Finland. Kolkka delivered a perfect centre on 27th minute which was well met in the centre of the area by Johansson to put Finland ahead. Midfielder Eremenko took the cross from Johnsson to the right of the penalty box and he made no mistake with a finish from ten metres leading to the next goal. Finland is now level on points with second-placed Serbia and Portugal.
